Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy describes how ProWellness Health Solutions Ltd (later “ProWellness”) handles personal information of users. A detailed description of how user data is handled by different products and services provided by ProWellness is set out in the Terms of Use Agreement for the respective product or service. ProWellness may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
This Privacy Policy policy applies to all ProWellness’ departments, employees, and service and product suppliers, who work for ProWellness or who ProWellness manages.
Accepting the Terms of Use
Before use, users of the products or services of ProWellness must read and accept the Terms of Use Agreement for the respective products or services.
Personal Information That We Collect
Personal information includes the identifiable information which can be connected to you and that you have provided to ProWellness directly or through the use of products or services provided by ProWellness. Personal information also includes such identifiable data which is derived from the aforementioned data or based on the usage of ProWellness products or services. This information includes historical data of users’ previous use of ProWellness products and services, as well as information of users who have stopped using ProWellness services or products, or who have terminated or cancelled their service agreement.
Personal information includes, but is not restricted to, the following (optional) data that can be connected to a certain individual, such as the name, phone number, home address, social security number, and email address of the user. Additionally, personal data includes (optional) health related and other patient data that you as a user have chosen to store in the product or service for managing your health, including chronic conditions.
Subject to a user’s consent, Balansio can read and utilize health data from self-monitoring devices that are compatible with Apple Health app and Google Fit, to support the user in self-management of his/her own health and chronic conditions. These (optional) data items are blood glucose, blood pressure, weight, oxygen saturation, heart rate, and physical activity.
If the user chooses, Balansio can also connect to selected wireless glucoses meters directly.
Use of Identifiable Personal Information
For on-line services, ProWellness uses the user’s self-reported information to create a personalized user profile. This user profile is part of the services of ProWellness, enabling the customization and development of the services to provide better compatibility with individual user needs.
ProWellness does not disclose, release, or sell identifiable data that can be connected to individuals (i.e. users) without a distinct request or permission of the individual. ProWellness may share your data with its business partners needed to provide you the service you’ve requested and subscribed to. In addition, ProWellness may share your data with such service providers which you have distinctly requested to provide you with services, through ProWellness services or products. ProWellness ensures within its power that all such partners and service providers are consistent with this Privacy Policy. ProWellness reserves all rights to use anonymized user data, within the boundaries of applicable laws in each country, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe.
All changes related to the information and changes related to the user are logged into the database.
Data Security
User information is secured over data transmissions and remain secured in the database managed by ProWellness. Personal information and its transmission are secured and user’s data that is or can be considered as patient information is stored and maintained logically separately from other user information (e.g. name, address, and other personal details).
Children’s Privacy
ProWellness applications and services are only intended for use by individuals meeting, at minimum, the age restrictions based upon individual country laws and regulations. ProWellness does not knowingly collect personal information via our websites, applications, services, or tools from children without permission from the parent or legal guardian.
As a parent or legal guardian, please do not allow your children to submit personal information without your permission.
Mobile App Usage of Location Data
Balansio mobile apps may require a permission to use location data; this permission may be required by mobile phone platforms in order to use Bluetooth to connect wireless glucose (and other) meters with Balansio. Balansio does not store or use user location data.
DELETING YOUR USER ACCOUNT
Should you wish to delete your user account and data, you can request your data to be deleted directly on the Balansio mobile app (please see Settings -> About -> Customer Support), or by clicking here
